in class writing 1

I had many good and bad reading and writing experiences in my life.  Most however were bad and have turned me away from reading and writing.  I had a teacher who would not only tell you how bad your paper was but would insult you as a person.  One experience was truly awful.  I had spent 6 weeks writing a paper and reviewing it vigorously only for her to say that my paper wasted her time and mine.

I also had some very awful reading experiences as well.  The same teacher that disgraced my writing also had a colorful opinion on reading.  She taught my class that the world is evil so we should read books that reflect the world.  My class read some of the most horrifying and heart wrenching books and some were very satirical at the same time.  

Though i have never enjoyed reading or writing I have not given up hope on it either.  I have come to accept that you will have good and bad experiences with reading and writing through out your life.  Only through accepting the bad will we be able to notice the good.
