Rhetoric is all around us. Walking around campus it is clear easy to see it such as the logos on shirts. Signs and advertisements on buildings. Walking through the basement of Lafollette the first thing that you notice is the music. The music that plays in this area often seems random and sometimes is startling. The clusters of tables in the center stand out to me, as well as the tables in the center. Sitting at one of the tables is a couple who is having an argument about something. There conversation seems to blend in with the music. As I enter the hallway where the classrooms are located, everything becomes instantly quieter. I walk into the classroom, take off my back and sit at my table.
During my walk to class I realized how huge a roll that rhetoric plays in my life. It is surprising to think that you are constantly surrounded by it.
