I was always considered very good at writing and reading in school. In elementary school, I was selected to be part of an advanced group because of my reading level. Toward middle school I also read a lot in my spare time. When I took a mandatory reading comprehension test in 7th grade, I was considered reading at a college level. In high school I took honors language arts for the first two years and in my junior year, I took AP Language and Composition. I wasn't that great at it, mainly because I find it difficult to write about subjects that don't interest me, but I still managed to score well on the AP exam. I also took an AP Literature and I found that the class was a lot of fun. There were some books that we read that I hated, but on the most part many of the things we read were fun to discuss and write about.
I have only had a few negative experiences, mainly when I can't find inspiration to write about a topic for an assignment. The most memorable negative experience I had was during the SAT. The topic I had to write an essay about didn't inspire me at all and I was left making up a whole bunch of nonsense and ended up getting a pretty low score. Overall, though, I think I have had many positive experiences with reading and writing.
