In Class Writing 2

Exiting my dorm room heading to my 8 AM class, I find many ads and fliers on the walls. On the door of every room there are also brightly colored "Getting to Know You" sheets that everyone filled out on move-in day. They have information such as what everyone's nickname is or what is their favorite hobby. On the walls there are announcements telling about the first football game, upcoming meetings, and clubs that are available to join. There are also signs for the bathroom, laundry room, emergency exits, etc. Walking down the stairs there are even more ads, mainly for the upcoming hall council election, of candidates wanting my vote. Even in the elevator there are more ads and announcements, all brightly colored with large font trying to capture my attention. When I exit the building there are a few people around, all heading to their early morning classes as well. Many of them are wearing clothing with logos, a lot of them are advertising for Ball State University, showing their school pride. I have to walk across the parking lot to get to my first class. Even the cars have visual rhetoric, whether it is their license plate advertising where they come from, the car symbol, or the bumper stickers people might choose to put on their cars. Crossing the street I notice many signs with symbols that instruct drivers and pedestrians the law of the road, or what street they are on. The trucks that pass all have large advertisements on the side, wanting you to buy from their company. And across the street I can already see the sign that tells me the building I am about to enter is the Robert Bell Building. Entering the building, I see even more flyers and ads for various things. There are also various signs informing you of the number of the classroom you are about to enter which is helpful because I am usually not yet fully awake that early in the morning.
Overall I noticed there is rhetoric everywhere, and it greatly influences everyone's daily life.
