Warning symbols and labels should not be on cigarette packages because it's the consumers responsibility to educate themselves about their purchases. For example, unhealthy foods do not come with a warning label, but obesity related deaths have caused an estimated 300,000 deaths per year while tobacco related death comes in about 400,000 deaths annually.
