zero draft

While all 3 ads are trying to sell the same brand, they each have different goals and methods of doing it. For example, the first ad is from the 1940’s. It shows a group of Americans and a group of Chinese sharing a coke with smiles on their face. The general mood of the ad is light and optimistic. All the elements combine to display a very friendly atmosphere in the ad. This is an ad designed to sell brand image, by showing the international appeal of coke, by showing that it can bring people even as different as the Americans and the Chinese together. The second ad is yet again, another ad attempting to sell brand image. This particular ad comes from the 1950s. It shows a group of elderly people in a car with a caption mentioning that it is for youth of all ages, implying even the elderly people to be “youth”, a term commonly used for young people. This is trying to sell the idea that coke is for people of all ages. The bottom ad is from 1990. The aim of this ad is obvious, it showing cokes connection to the victory of the 1992 American Olympic team, showing that Coke-Cola supports not only the American spirit,  but also the American dream
